As a global transportation and logistics business with over 22.000
employees and 17.000 trucks on the road, DSV is among the worlds largest freight forwarders. Going through a period of rapid expansion
the company had grown quicker thanit could brand. As a consequence
it was decided to critically engage with the brand to ensure it reflected
the position and stature of the organization.
The challenge was to create a brand that felt distinctly international without loosing touch of its history and heritage. It also needed to be simple and recognizable so that the implementation of the brand could be carried out as successfully in Mumbai as in Melbourne. The mark itself was inspired by the natural environment where the brand operates – the open road. The letters of 'DSV' were carefully put together so that they would represent an unbroken road or journey. The colors were selected for impact but also to bring efficiencies to the implementation of the brand. The primary blue colour is industry standard for truck tarp making it easy and effective to implement the brand on vehicle livery.
The DSV brand is today instantly recognizable and has a significance presence on the global road network. The brand has a distinct international character and is set to support the business in its continued growth in reach and influence. 2012 Branding, Creative Direction, Graphic Design -
Corporate & Brand Identity - H+H International, Denmark
As Europes second largest aircrete manufacturer the products of H+H International can be found in the widest variety of commercial and private properties. The business pride itself on not only having the best and most innovative aircrete solutions, but also on having real and meaningful relationships with their customers. To help maintain and build on these relationships and to signify its leading position within the industry, it was decided to critically engage with the H+H brand.
From the outset it was clear that the new brand needed to be clean and simple. Although the technology required to create the perfect aircrete product is complicated, the individual building block – the aircrete slab – can be seen as the simplest distillation of any building. The logo was created with this in mind, building on a perfect geometrical grid, with the letters taking up equal amounts of space. The green colour was already heavily associated with the company so it felt natural to keep this as the primary colour lead. To make the brand more impactful, the tone of the colour was optimised, giving it more punch and weight. A new image style was also defined, consisting of a mix of reportage style photopgraphy showing the people and places behind the brand and product shots showing the finer detail of aircrete.

Corporate & Brand Identity - Chempaq A/S, Denmark
Chempaq was formed on a vision to redefine hematology testing through one single use self-contained cassette module. At the heart of the solution was a desire to make blood testing easy and convenient without compromising on accuracy and precision. It was important to the business that the way they communicated to the market reflected this vision of making life easier and more convenient for healthcare professionals as well as for patients. It was decided to refresh the identity to bring it in line with the vision.
A whole new identity was created that took inspiration from their core area of expertise – blood testing. A new organic logo was produced consisting of a text element and a unique mark that in an abstract form represented a drop of blood.
The colours were clean and simple with red working as a highlight colour to capture peoples attention or point to certain important elements within communication. A bank of images were also created consisting of reportage style photography of the people and technicians behind the brand as well as a selection of abstract images of blood interacting with other liquids (a key part of the product functionality). 2009 Branding, Creative Direction, Graphic Design -
